Pepere and Ali

While in New Orleans in 2018 I got a response to an email I sent out regarding a comic book illustrator for a science and planet related zine called Planetary Problems. I was thrilled by the project and started to sketch up characters for the comic. My idea was for two robots that were buddies and traveled through space together on wild adventures: sorta of like a Calvin and Hobbes tribute meets Disney Pixar’s Wall-e type characters. One named Pepere and one named Ali. They were based on two dogs a friend of mine owned, I completed three pages for Planetary Problems and had a blast working on a project that granted me so much freedom to create within.
